Cross-country skiing can be one of the most rewarding lifelong outdoor activities a person can pursue. From recreation to competition, “skinny skis” can literally transport us to new places and new levels of health, wellness, and enjoyment.

For all its benefits, though, nordic skiing can also be a HARD sport to fall in love with. Regardless of whether we’re on skate skis or classic skis, figuring out how to move from struggles to smiles can feel like an impossible riddle. The good news is that it’s often small changes which can lead to massive improvements.

The trick is knowing what to look for, and how to fix it. That’s why we’re offering our first-ever online Technique Troubleshooting series. Video can be a powerful tool that improves our coaching and teaching, and helps participants progress more rapidly. In this series you’ll have the opportunity to share and review video, talk technique, and discuss strategies that help you help the people you work with.

In this series you’ll work with a professional nordic ski and biathlon coach on –

  • Spotting common trouble spots for beginner and intermediate nordic skiers

  • Developing your critical eye for quality skate and classic technique

  • Utilizing video to coach, teach, and improve your own understanding

  • Simple tips and tricks for correcting and overcoming technique challenges that hold skiers back.

This series is open to anyone interested in learning more about nordic ski technique, whether coaching, teaching, or just enjoying the sport personally.

This series will consist of two different online sessions. You can register for both, or select the session that’s most helpful for you.

Session 1 – Monday, Feb 1st @ 6PM EST - Classic Ski Technique

Session 2 – Monday, Feb 8th @ 6PM EST - Skate Ski Technique

In each session you will be able to…

  • Review video and discuss technique errors, causes, and corrections

  • Discuss what you see and experience in your own practice, and

  • Explore solutions that work for you and others
