OSI Board of Trustees
Matt DeLaney
Secretary
Matt has spent the last 10+ years working in public libraries across the northeast and now serves as the Director at the Manchester Community Library in Manchester, VT. Matt enjoys changing people’s ideas about the role of public libraries in rural communities and he is passionate about developing innovative programs that connect people with new and exciting opportunities. In his role at Millinocket Memorial Library, he helped co-found the Katahdin Gear Library with OSI and other community partners.
Matt will tell you that he grew up playing team sports that he didn’t like and, as he grew older, was drawn to more solo endurance adventures. Now he is an avid trail runner, cyclist, and what he lacks in speed he makes up for in ambition. In 2019 he ran every mile of trail in Maine’s Baxter State Park. He lives in Arlington, VT with his partner Emilie, and their two sons. When Matt isn’t exploring new trails, he is playing guitar, walking his dogs, and spending time with his family.
